@garryman fails how? The question here doesn't mention the file is required. If in your case the file is a required field, you can move the line var blnValid = false; to be above the loop over arrInputs, then after the loop check the variable blnValid: if true, let the form submit, otherwise show alert that the file is required. – Shadow The Burning Wizard 21 hours ago. If you prefer not to deploy any of your own custom code to your WFEs then you may want to consider a simple SharePoint Designer workflow as well.Have a look at that describes something similar and can easily be adapted (it renames a file from a workflow when it contains sensitive information in the file name).Providing feedback to the customer is indeed a problem. An event receiver allows you to provide slightly better feedback than a workflow, but only slightly. SharePoint 2010 allows event receivers to provide better feedback.
In a query packet used in SPServices to do searches on Sharepoint 2010 using jquery, I want to filter the results to only.pdf documents.How can I do that? The below shows all types of files.This is what I have so far: var queryText = ';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += 'urn:Microsoft.Search.Response.Document.Document';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += 'test';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += '250';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += ';queryText += ';//queryText += ';//queryText += ';//queryText += ';queryText += 'true';queryText += 'true';queryText += ';queryText += '.
Hmm, not sure what to tell you then. Maybe try putting it in parentheses? If I go to a search center site, go to advanced search, enter 'some phrase' in the 'All of these words' box, check off a scope, and hit search, on the results page I can see that the keyword query that was generated by the OOB SharePoint Advanced Search WebPart is: ALL(some phrase) (scope:'My scope name') I didn't find anything about scope in the Keyword Query Syntax reference, so I'm just basing it off seeing that that's how SharePoint formats it.–Jun 13 '13 at 15:43.
